Selena Gomez broke her silence on Benny Blanco dating rumors and signaled to the celebrity news fan account PopFaction that she is taken.
Gomez liked and commented “facts” on the outlet’s Instagram post with the headline “Selena Gomez Seemingly Confirms That She Is in a Relationship.”
She also liked PopFaction’s post titled “Selena Gomez Is Rumored to Be Dating Producer Benny Blanco.” Blanco is a record producer who notably worked with Gomez on “I Can’t Get Enough” in 2019.
She later posted an Instagram Story of her cuddling up with a man:
And defended Blanco in the comment section of PopFaction’s post about him:
PopFaction shared screenshots of other comments Gomez wrote about Blanco. She appeared to write to one fan, “He has treated me better than any human being on this planet.” In another comment, she shared: “He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with. Facts.”
The move comes after Gomez commented a winky face emoji on an Instagram from a Selena Gomez fan account wondering about how things went her crush. (While filming Selena + Chef’s holiday specials a couple months ago, the star hinted that she liked someone.)
It also comes after a source told Entertainment Tonight on November 26 that Gomez was single. The insider said, “Selena is casually dating and doing well. She is doing her own thing and doesn’t feel any sort of pressure to be in a relationship.
She is just focusing on what’s best for her right now and has been very in tune with maintaining her own boundaries. Her friends and family support her and just want her to be happy.”
