14 people have lost their lives from the incident that occurred the day before in Italy where a cable car cabin detached and fell to the ground.
Foreign media suggest that only one of the 15 people on board survived, while the rest lost their lives, among the victims are tourists.
The tragic event took place in a mountainous area near the lake popularly known to tourists as Lago Maggiore. 13 people were confirmed dead around noon, while two children aged 5 and 9 were taken in serious condition to Turin hospital.
Unfortunately, during the evening, the Italian media confirmed that the 9-year-old child could not survive the injuries received and passed away.
The causes of the tragedy are still unclear. The victims are learned to have been tourists set off from the town of Stresa for a panoramic ride which lasts about 20 minutes by cable car to the heights.
