For analyst Mustafa Nano, the non-opening of negotiations has made the European Union fail not only with Albania, but with the entire Western Balkans.
From MCN TV news studio, Nano said that the opening of negotiations in the eyes of Albanians has already lost its magic due to delays and that Albanians have begun to see Europe with suspicion “as a world that does not want Albanians inside” .
“In fact, it is failing with the whole Western Balkans and not only with Albania. I agree with what I heard from Majlinda Bregu that these delays of successive requests that are being made to Albania for the opening of negotiations in the eyes of Albanians are losing their magic.
Due to the delays, this magic no longer exists, Albanians are seeing with suspicion Europe as a world that does not want Albanians inside.
In this sense, Majlinda Bregu is right and if it can be called a failure, the EU has failed with Albania and the entire Western Balkans. “Europe does not know how to behave,” said Nano.
