As promised a few days ago by the Mayor Veliaj, the Municipal Council of Tirana has concretized the assistance to the Municipality of Presevo in order to alleviate the consequences of damage caused by massive floods.
The Municipal Council approved today the decision for the provision of financial assistance in the amount of 50,000 euros from the Municipality of Tirana to the Municipality of Presevo. The Mayor Ardita Sinani conveyed the concern over the difficult situation created in the Municipality of Presevo due to heavy rains, which caused significant damage to citizens’ properties, private houses, mainly in the two villages of Rahovica and Rainca, damage to some bridges and some roads.
She asked for the support of the Municipality of Tirana in order to face these consequences. Taking into account the difficult situation created for these families, as a result of this natural disaster, the Municipality of Tirana, immediately expressed its readiness to provide financial support, in the framework of support and solidarity with the citizens of the Municipality of Presevo, for the situation extraordinary created by natural disaster, caused by heavy rainfall.
