On September 12, 2023, a new biography of Elon Musk, written by Walter Isaacson, the author of, among other works, the biography of Steve Jobs, is set to be published.
Ahead of the book’s release, which promises many undisclosed revelations, some excerpts have been published by the Wall Street Journal.
Among them, it is mentioned the difficult relationship between Musk and his daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, who transitioned genders last year, also taking her mother’s last name Justine because she no longer wanted to be associated with her father Elon Musk.
While Musk initially referred to himself as an “optimist” regarding the gender transition, he later told the biographer that his daughter is a “communist and thinks anyone who’s wealthy is bad.”
He continued to say, “I’ve made a lot of progress with her, but she doesn’t want to spend time with me.”
Musk partly attributes this to “Crossroads,” a progressive school in Santa Monica, according to the biography.
As reported in the biography, these events may have influenced Musk’s idea of the “mind virus,” which he considers a threat to humanity and one of the reasons that led him to purchase Twitter, now X.
