The World Health Organization (WHO) announced that the Delta variant of COVID-19 has been registered in about 100 countries and regions and has first appeared in India.
According to the news of China Global Television Network (CGTN), the director general of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in a statement warned that the Delta variant is broadcast much more easily and the same has spread to at least 98 countries.
He added that the Delta variant is spreading rapidly in countries with low and high vaccination rates. Ghebreyesus said the Delta variant is “dangerous” and continues to evolve and mutate.
