US Ambassador Yuri Kim welcomed the GJKKO decision to sentence former Attorney General Adriatik Llalla to 2 years in prison.
Ms. Kim recalls that Llalla is one of the former senior officials detained by the US for significant corruption.
Today’s decision, according to Ms. Kim, shows that no one, no matter how powerful, is above the law.

It is good that SPAK gives more and more results. The case, which involves a former senior U.S. official jailed for significant corruption, shows that no one – no matter how powerful – is above the law. When EVERYONE is equal before the law, EVERYONE has dignity. This is true dignity.
