The Minister of Defense, Niko Peleshi, has followed on the ground the situation of fires in the Lower Duchy, where members of the Armed Forces are currently working to extinguish the fire.
Currently, 500 members of the Armed Forces, 50 vehicles and 3 helicopters, firefighters and ambulances have been engaged since the early hours of the morning.
Peleshi stressed that half an hour ago in Himara another fire was recorded. He also said that currently there is no damage to homes and people.
Another active hearth is in the village of Cukal, Shllak administrative unit, Vau Dejës municipality, where a fire broke out in an area with various shrubs and trees. The local service of MZSH Vau Dejës is located at the scene and is working to extinguish the flames.
Also, the work is continuing to bring under control the fire that fell in the village of Qesorat, of the administrative unit Lunxhëri in the municipality of Gjirokastra, where together with the employees of the fire service of this region, 20 members of the Armed Forces have joined.
