In this meeting, Lajcak said that they discussed with the Serbian cleric about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia.

After this meeting, the Serbian patriarch himself, Porfirije, spoke, saying that for the Serbs, “Kosovo is what Jerusalem is for Israel.
“For Serbs, Kosovo is what Jerusalem is for the Jews and the Patriarchate of Peja for the Orthodox Church is what the Vatican is for the Catholic Church.” Porfirije told Serbian media.
Among other things, he said that Kosovo, “Srpska Republika” and Montenegro are of vital importance for Serbia, while he directed accusations against official Pristina that Kosovo is not interested in dialogue.
