A few months ago Andi Zeqiri and his father confirmed that they have decided to represent Kosovo in the international arena, however the striker who is part of Brighton in England, changed his mind in March, not appearing at the Challandes gathering.
In Kosovo they did not hide their disappointment for this change of mind by the 22-year-old striker, however then it was said that Zeqiri had received a promise to be part of the Helvetians in the European Championship, so he decided to choose them.
However, now is the time to disappoint the striker, as coach Petkovic has published the list of 26 players with whom Switzerland will be represented in the European Championship and Zeqiri’s name is not part of it.
The 22-year-old striker was in the preliminary gathering of 29 players, but in the end Petkovic decided to send home exactly Zeqiri, the newly transferred goalkeeper to Borussia Dortmund, Kobel and Nice midfielder, Ndoye.
