Adriatik Llalla, in his interview on the Berisha family television, threatened before going to prison.
He says that he has abundant materials, which he has collected during his time as chief prosecutor.
Peka: Llalla, there is a perception that you have compromising materials for our politicians but also foreign representatives active in our country, materials that would cause term in Albanian politics, but maybe also in foreign diplomacy in Albania. How the truth stands and do you really have a comment on these, I do not want to compare you to Spartak Brahos black bag. So we are talking about the moment when you headed the prosecution at a time when corruption has reached alarming levels?
“I do not want to make a comparison with the case of former state security deputies who were carrying bags and threatening state officials.
Of course, during the time I was leading the prosecution body, even before, the law gave more powers to the chief prosecutor than it has today, with the current law. So it had to function as a centralized institution.
The information at that time came from various directions and sources they had and the duty to report including acts from national security that include corruption, murder, trafficking, etc.
We are starting it from national security and when such information comes the Chief Prosecutor is obliged to inform and communicate with the director of the State Intelligence Service the police chief to reconcile work and other law enforcement institutions.
“And it is normal for the chief prosecutor’s office to collect a lot of information that, in addition to formally, also has material, and of course it is also sculpted in the mind,” he said.
To the question of Çlirim Peka, if he has this information not only in his mind, Llalla answered: “There is abundant material”.
He also spoke about the announcement “non grata” by the US, bringing ridiculous arguments.
According to Llalla, he was punished for coming out against the Americans for the interests they had here and for declaring him “non grata” based on an article by Alfred Peza.
“It is a decision of DASH that does not make me feel good, neither me nor my family. The facts which DASH referred to are surprising or strange to me. I will refer to an answer that DASH has returned to the Albanian Prosecution for my case.
There is no fact. It is clear that DASH says it was based on information received from the general public. There has been no case of Llalla being involved in a corruption affair. They only believed the media reports based on an article on the portal of the former socialist MP Alfred Peza.
He had started an open war against me because of the investigation that was opened for his property. He swore to destroy me and my family. And to some extent he succeeded “, said Llalla.
Apparently, Llalla thinks of the US State Department as the Prosecution Office he headed.
