The Ministry of Defense has provided information on the situation of fires in the country, from South to North, while some fires continue to be active.
According to the Ministry of Defense, after a tireless work of the Armed Forces and municipal employees, the forest service and the fire brigade, it has become possible to extinguish all fires in Gjirokastra. But the situation is being monitored.
Work by operational forces is continuing to extinguish the fire on the Karaburun Peninsula. Part of the forces are located in the village of Delisuf, where the fire was reactivated. Work is also underway to extinguish the flames from the air.
The fire in the village of Cukal, administrative unit Shllak, municipality of Vau Dejës is isolated for the most part. There are only a few small fires left, which are being controlled by forces on the ground.
The fire in the city of Fushë Arrëz, Fushë Arrëz municipality, continues with low intensity. A large part of the hearth has been isolated and work is underway for final extinguishing.
The fire has spread to a rocky part, a little forested in the village of Lukan, Selishte administrative unit, in the municipality of Dibër. The hearth remains active, but without problems for further spread. Local government forces are also engaged there, which are keeping the situation under control.
In the village of Zogas, in Skrapar, the fire remains active, but without danger to homes. The situation is being followed up.
In Elbasan, in the place called “Gropat e Borës”, between the villages of Cerujë and Gur i zi, the administrative unit Labinot Mal, a fire broke out in a forest area with low vegetation. The situation here is also being monitored.
