Clashes were recorded today in Kuçova, where residents of the village of Lumas have confronted the police after opposing the project at the source of Sinec.
Residents are against the use of spring water for a municipal water supply.
Residents of Lumas have blocked the work of the firm’s vehicles, causing the work to be suspended and there to be clashes with the police. An injured person is reported in advance.
According to the residents, the project was done without consulting them and the winning company was announced, which has started the works.
They also claim that the spring has been used for centuries for irrigation of lands and for animals and will not allow the project to continue.
It is learned that the residents have drafted a petition and will sue the municipality of Kuçova.
