The curfew located in Barcelona and most of Catalonia’s tourist region to manage the new wave of the COVID-19 pandemic was extended again today for another two weeks.
The court gave the green light to the extension until August 20 of this curfew, in force from 01:00 to 06:00, in 176 municipalities from 163 before.
This is the third extension of this measure, taken in mid-July to cope with the outbreak of cases in this region, especially among those under 30, who are still very little vaccinated.
In addition to curfew, the Catalan authorities have taken other measures, such as closing discos indoors, closing all night activities at 00:30, and limiting meetings to 10 people in public and private spaces.
