Greece is shocked again. A 39-year-old Greek man died after being shot in a car. The incident took place in Vari, south of Athens.
Investigators say the victim is a former boxer. He was shot with at least 10 bullets in the front passenger seat where he was standing.
The injuries were so severe that the young man lost his life immediately at the scene. The main track that is being investigated is that of laundering accounts. The young man was going to the gym at the time of the incident.
The perpetrators ambushed and shot him with a Kalashnikov. The 39-year-old has been convicted of an incident that occurred in 2009 in Patras.
This is the second serious criminal event in Athens in less than 24 hours. A 34-year-old Albanian man was killed on Sunday. Aristidh Papa was executed in a cafe
