Tesla on Thursday unveiled a high-performance version of the Model S, an attempt to compete with rivals Porsche, Mercedes-Benz and Lucid Motors in the luxury electric car segment.
In 2012 the company changed an industry with the launch of the Model S electric car with a minimal design and long driving distances. Elon Musk said the new version is designed for a future where cars drive themselves.
Over the next three months Tesla expects to produce 1,000 cars a week. The Model S Plaid will cost $ 129,990.
The new electric motors propel the car from 0-100km / h in 1.99 seconds while traversing 627km with a single charge. / PCWorld Albanian
