With harsh language, Prime Minister Edi Rama pointed the finger at the State Police regarding the injuries and shootings in bars in coastal areas. Rama said that the owners of these premises that challenge the law and the state have turned the chiefs of police stations into tutors of their activity and are pulling them by the nose.
Rama focused on the case of Saranda, where during a gun attack a tourist and a businessman of the “Orange Club” were injured, emphasizing that they should not be reprimanded but with the immediate exception and criminal punishment of the management chain.
“Today when we are already in the tourist season and the high number of vacationers entering and leaving the country is significant. We have the State Police through unworthy individuals to go against the obligation of all together of any state structure, to welcome and entertain all vacationers according to the tradition of a country that claims to become more best in place. They must be fought without compromise and with zero tolerance. And here I want to emphasize very strongly a fact that in itself is very challenging for the law, for the state, for the State Police. Who are these beach owners in the coastal area who openly break the law? They go beyond the curfew, creating abusive space that degenerates into gunfire and injury in the midst of a whole world that has gathered there in the loakl. Who are these? These are the tutors of the State Police in that territory, these are the corrupters of the State Police, the biggest abusers with the uniform of the State Police who pull the police chiefs by the nose and turn them into guards of illegal activity. The Saranda case was an alarming case. In that case, we should punish the whole chain of command in Saranda, not in administrative investigations and ordinary measures. In the immediate exclusion and criminal punishment of the responsible persons. Who bears the responsibility for pulling out weapons and mutilating people in the third night except those who have allowed this to happen in the middle of the city and not in a lost valley“, Declared Rama.
