The runway is designed to accommodate 3 aircraft simultaneously, with the ability for 4 aircraft to depart from Kukes Airport within an hour.
The terminal covers an area of 3500 m2 and features 2 entrance gates. Inside, there is a museum area commemorating the Kosovo war, which was the starting point of this airport. The airport was gifted by the United Arab Emirates to aid war refugees.
