Prime Minister Albin Kurti in his speech at the Assembly session said that reciprocity will be implemented but they need time to implement it, reports Gazeta Express.
“In order to implement reciprocity, we need to face both the sporadic and systemic barriers of Serbia. So we need time to fully implement reciprocity. Customs officials have not been trained to implement reciprocity it is imperative that we do so.
In our last government we did not start reciprocity either in the first week or in the first month. We do not have reciprocity as revenge but as a principle that derives from the principle of equality. We will implement reciprocity when we are well prepared for its implementation, someone may not like it but we will do it “, said Kurti.
He said that with the new director of customs, customs officers will be trained to implement reciprocity.
“In 2011 we had approved the resolution in the Assembly for full reciprocity with Serbia and that resolution was rejected by the then government against reciprocity, it is known by name who voted against. That we are for reciprocity will not mind and now we will implement it. A month ago, the proposal I received for the new director of customs was approved. The new customs officers will be trained to implement it “, he said./GazetaExpress/
