A three-bullet envelope addressed to Pope Francis was found by postal workers at the Center in Peschiera Borromeo, in the Milan area.
Italian media write that the package came from France. The envelope was seized by the Milan Carabinieri and investigations are being carried out by the Milan command investigation unit.
It contained three 9-millimeter Flobert cartridges. “Pope – Vatican City – Piazza San Pietro in Rome” was written in pen in an illegible way.
Although the investigation has begun, it is clear that the envelope that did not reach the Holy See is a threat. According to ‘Il Corriere della Sera’, the envelope also contained information on some financial transactions related to the Vatican.
But so far, all this remains in the stage of suspicion, until the authorities officially speak about the event.
