The General Prosecutor Olsian Çela requests the High Inspector of Justice to start the inspection to investigate the violations committed in the exercise of duty for the prosecutor Belina Zeneli and the prosecutor Xhoana Mehmetaj in the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Dibër.
In the notification of the Prosecution, it is stated that for these two prosecutors, “actions have been ascertained which may constitute a serious delay of the procedural activity, as well as violation of the legal prescriptive provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure”.
“Based on law no. 97/2016 “On the organization and functioning of the Prosecution in the Republic of Albania”, on 21.05.2021 has requested the High Inspector of Justice to initiate the inspection procedure to investigate individual violations committed in the exercise of duty for the prosecutor Belina Zeneli and Prosecutor Xhoana Mehmetaj in the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Dibër after actions were found which could constitute a serious delay of procedural activity, as well as violation of the legal provisions mandating the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Also, part of this inspection of ILD, is required to be “the leading activity of the head of the prosecution Rifat Kojku, for the way in which the powers given by law No. 97/2016 are exercised, in relation to the measures taken by the to prevent the situation created in the Prosecution of the Judicial District of Dibër ”.
