On July 17, the National Assembly of the Democratic Party will vote for the new members of the Council. Today, (July 15) the Presidency has approved all the candidates, of which 300 will have the status of member.
Of the new members to be elected not less than 30% will be female and not less than 15% young up to 35 years old.
But who are the candidates? In the list that the Democratic Party itself has published, some new names stand out, but also old ones.
The candidate is the son of the deceased Sokol Olldashi, Glauk Olldashi, director Robert Budina, journalist and moderator Orjela Nebiaj, but also the former player of the Albanian national team, Andi Lila.

The list also includes the critics of Lulzim Basha, Edit Harxhi who challenged in the elections for the leader of the Democratic Party, the former general secretary, Arbin Ristani and the former President, Bujar Nishani. The latter, due to the high positions he has held, is not subject to voting, but is automatically elected.
Former Presidents, former Prime Ministers, former party chairmen, deputies, branch chairmen, members of the Presidency, members of the college of branch party chairmen, mayors, municipal councils and counties are also automatically elected.
