After debuting self-hidden messages on Messenger and Instagram, the social media giant has launched a similar option on WhatsApp.
From today users of beta versions of WhatsApp have an option with which their photos and videos are automatically deleted once they have been viewed once.
To find out if you have access to the new feature, a dedicated button will appear. However, it should not be confused with messages that self-hide within 7 days and “View Once” applies only to photos and videos.
They are deleted automatically after you close. The user who sends such a message receives notification that it has been viewed.
Facebook announced the option in June, at a time when it was trying to pass a controversial new privacy policy. / PCWorld Albanian
