Through a signed declaration, the Zavetnici (conspirators) of Vranje, announce the opinion that they have started an initiative to name one of the streets of Vranje after the Serbian General, already accused of war crimes Ratko Mladic.
“Zavetnici Vranje” also announces that the campaign to collect signatures of citizens who will support this proposal, will begin on Savior’s Day, June 10.
“With this initiative, Vranje and the people of Vranje would show that they value courage, heroism and patriotism. We expect a large number of signatures in support of this initiative, through a written initiative, which will then be submitted to the City Assembly and it is up to the authorities to decide which street in Vranje will bear the name of General Mladic – it is said in the statement of the “Conspirators” from Vranje.
I recall that the Republika Srpska Army General Ratko Mladic was reconfirmed yesterday his life sentence before the Hague Tribunal for genocide and crimes against humanity during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
However, years ago, Vranje was declared an honorary citizen by the former President of Serbia, Sloobodan Milosevic, also charged with war crimes in Bosnia and Kosovo.
