Mobile operator Vodafone reported revenue growth of 3.3% in the first quarter of 2021. Company executive Nick Read said the company had returned to revenue growth in Europe and Africa.
In the largest market in Europe, Germany, the company grew by 1.4% while it also grew in Britain and Spain.
Fierce price competition in Italy resulted in a 3.6% decline in the first quarter of 2021 after losing another 7.8% of revenue in the last quarter of 2020.
Vodafone said that for this year it was within the targets of 15-15.4 billion euros profit. In Albania, in the last report published by AKEP, Vodafone reported a profit several times lower than a year ago from ALL 1.4 billion in 2019 to ALL 285 million in 2020.
