The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell stated that Kosovo has already met all the conditions for visa liberalization and that now progress is needed in this matter.
His statement was also published by the EULEX mission on social networks.
“It has been a long time since Kosovo’s visa liberalization. The country has met all the criteria and we now need to make progress on this issue. “I will fully support this,” the diplomat said in a statement.
Borrell also spoke about the dialogue process, announcing that another Kosovo-Serbia high-level meeting will be held in June, without mentioning the exact date.
Also on social networks, in support of visa liberalization for Kosovo, the German MEP, Peter Beyer, reacted. He even described the KFOR mission as one of the elements that guarantees stability and security in Kosovo.
“Visa liberalization for Kosovo must happen now! “I support Kosovo on its path to the European Union, the KFOR mission is an important part of it, because it brings stability and security to the country,” Beyer said.
Kosovo is the last country in the Western Balkans region that does not enjoy the right to full freedom of movement in European Union countries.
