Videos of US Navy pilots pursuing flying objects with amazing capabilities has set in motion.
When it comes to UFOs, US officials usually do not comment. But that is changing.
In a video taken by a US Navy aircraft, the crew is heard reacting to what appears to be an object flying at high speed and in stunning ways.
The video comes from a secret working group at the Pentagon set up in 2007 and tasked with collecting and analyzing such cases now known as Unidentified Air Phenomena or UAP.
After three videos were unauthorized released and posted online, the Pentagon confirmed in 2020 that they were authentic recordings made by Navy personnel.
This fact has made officials at the highest levels of government deal with UFOs openly and with a new urgency, including a former president.
“There are film footage and recordings of some objects in the sky that we do not know exactly what they are. “We can not explain their movement and trajectory,” said former President Obama.
The Pentagon is expected to release a report in late June providing Congress and the public with an analysis of UFOs with data collected by numerous government agencies.
“There are objects that fly over national security installations, we do not know what they are, where they come from, they are not ours. “We have to find out the unknown,” said Sen. Marco Rubio.
It has been 70 years since the Pentagon began its first UFO analysis.
In recent decades, there has been little official recognition of the phenomenon although cases have persisted. They are often researched by citizen groups.
“We have been studying UFOs all these years and almost all the evidence has come from witnesses. Understandably, their testimonies are exciting. I was convinced years ago and I continue today. But they have been merely human testimonies and need something beyond that. “That’s why the Navy videos and all the data are so exciting.”
One of the most notable incidents occurred off the coast of California. The radar of an American aircraft carrier began to detect numerous objects moving unusually. Two F18 jets were sent to investigate the incident.
Both pilots and their crew companions describe a 5-minute encounter with a flying object in a cylindrical shape that did not “move according to the normal laws of physics.” After the object suddenly disappeared, it reappeared on the radar 60 miles away where a third pilot made this recording.
The goal of the Pentagon report is to determine whether such objects pose a threat, but some observers hope the study will go further in search of answers to many questions.
“This is really the point we on the ground have always said: there is a real phenomenon, it deserves a serious study. “Whatever the phenomenon, it deserves serious study,” said Mark Rodegheier of the Center for UFO Studies.
