Fires in southern Turkey continue to be active. Foreign media have published images of the devastation caused by the fires on the shores of the Aegean.
Thousands of forests are seen burned by the flames, and entire homes have been completely destroyed. According to reports, fires have broken out in 40 provinces, and the work of firefighters and emergency crews is becoming increasingly difficult due to strong winds, which are favoring the flames.
On July 20, temperatures reached 49.1 degrees Celsius, and the fires are suspected to have started from this very cause. Some others believe that the arson was intentional, and in this regard, the police have made several arrests and are investigating.
Residents have told all the horror they experienced, recounting the moments when they saw houses totally covered by flames.
“My house is burning, my house, my house oh oh my Lord. “Everything is happening very fast,” said one woman.
Recall that the fires have also affected tourist areas, such as Bodrum and Antalya.
Tourists are seen these days being evacuated by the authorities by speedboat and boat, and are currently in the hotel in safe places, unharmed by the flames.
