Portuguese Foreign Minister Augusto Silva and Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi will visit Bulgaria and northern Macedonia today.
The focus of this visit is expected to be on EU enlargement issues.
The delegation is expected to arrive in Sofia this morning, where they will meet with President Rumen Radev, as well as with the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. In the afternoon, the delegation will be in Skopje, where it will meet with President Stevo Pendarovski, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and other government representatives.
These meetings come shortly before the EU Council meeting to be held on 22 June.
