The Electoral College has rejected the lawsuit of PD-LSI and the independent candidate supported by Vetëvendosje, Kreshnik Merxhani for the result of Gjirokastra district in the April 25 elections. Political parties demanded the invalidity of the elections in this district, but the request was initially rejected by the KAS and now also by the College.
Earlier, the PD lawyer, Ivi Kaso presented the evidence, which according to him shows that the government has influenced the will of the citizens on April 25.
“The pre-prepared process with such government decisions, such as the decision to change doctors’ salaries, has been affected. Other decisions have been made, allocating funds in different amounts for the rural category for agriculture and rural development.
Despite the ban provided by the legislation 4 months before the elections, despite the intention not only to formally prohibit the majority from using the resources, but also to provide benefits to different categories of citizens, this ban has been violated with both feet using any state resources. and benefit.
The criminal structure employed by the majority, by the government to influence the outcome is the same in all counties. What changes are the actors.
The government through decision-making aims and achieves to a significant extent by illegally influencing the free will of Albanians. This will was distorted through the most arrogant interventions. In the case of Gjirokastra, a good part of the citizens were denied, who were not supporters of the majority to participate in the elections.
“Civil servants, teachers were asked for concrete cases for forced participation in electoral meetings, but also lists ranging from 20-30 names”, said Kaso at the Electoral College.
As for the Socialist Party, the complaints of PD-LSI are contrary to law.
“As far as the appeal requests are concerned, these are in contradiction with the law for the part where the invalidity is requested.
I was expecting here, at least one Polling Station where the law has been violated. We do not have a center that has violated the law and consequently does not influence the allocation of seats.
The complainants did not refer to the concrete things, as there is no contest in any polling station. The report can not be taken as evidence “, said Eridjan Salianji.
