A serious incident occurred in Indu where a bride passed away on her wedding day.
A bride died after a heart attack during her wedding in India and the family of the deceased decided to replace her with her sister, just so as not to ruin the party.
The event took place in Uttar Pradesh, but has made the rounds of the world due to the unreal situation that followed the tragedy. After calling the doctor, who could not save the bride, both families did not decide to close the wedding, but thought that the best thing to do was for the groom to marry the deceased’s sister on the spot.
As the festivities continued, the bride’s body was ushered into a room, to be sent to the crematorium after the wedding.
One of the bride’s uncles said:
“It was a difficult decision for the family. Both sides sat down to discuss what we would do and someone suggested that the bride be replaced by her little sister. We discussed this variant and agreed. But it was very difficult for us. “One of our girls was dead in one of the rooms, while the other girl was getting married.”
According to foreign media, it was the bride’s mother who wanted the deceased girl to be replaced by the other girl and for the ceremony to continue. On the other hand, the husband’s relatives would like to avoid the stigma of returning home alone without the bride and agreed to marry their son to her sister.
