One person tested positive for Covid-19 in Tokyo’s ‘Olympic Village’. The news, confirmed by the organizing committee, comes six days before the start of the Olympic Games. He is a foreign citizen, not the sportiest, according to reports from “NHK TV” and is believed to be the first case in the village. The infected person was taken to a hotel and placed in solitary confinement.
The data confirmed yesterday by the Japanese authorities, spoke of more than 3,400 cases with Covid-19, found in 24 hours, 1,271 of which in the Tokyo area, which according to the news agency “Kyodo” for the third day in a row recorded more than a thousand cases in one day.
There are 15 infections found in Tokyo among people linked in various ways to the Games, including the first case in the Olympic Village. The other infected persons are 7 contract workers, 6 employees of the organizing committee and 2 media representatives.
