The Municipality of Tirana appeals to President Ilir Meta not to prevent the entry of residents affected by the earthquake in Zall Herr into their new homes.
Through a statement to the media, the Municipality says that the acts of the President deliberately undermine a process for which both the Government and the Municipality of Tirana are successfully moving forward, to shelter each of the families affected by the tragic earthquake of November 2019.
“The Municipality of Tirana notes with regret that the President of the Republic continues to incite, according to a defined plan, servants of his party, to hinder and disrupt the reconstruction process in Zall-Herr, by deliberately delaying, even further, the introduction in the new homes of area residents, who are eagerly awaiting to get their apartments. Recent acts of the President of the Republic deliberately undermine a process for which both the Government and the Municipality of Tirana are successfully moving forward, to shelter each of the families affected by the tragic earthquake of November 2019. The push of SMI militants “, which are supposedly removed as residents of the area, to provide the President with the post and the next news on the portals, is shameful, criminal and should be followed by the investigative bodies”, it is said in the reaction of the Municipality.
Further, the Municipality of Tirana underlines that the families of Zall Herri, affected by the earthquake, will take ownership of the new houses, in a neighborhood built especially for them, with model infrastructure and services, on land owned by the Municipality of Tirana, the same as the inhabitants of Ndroq or Vaqarr.
“A President, who has equipped his villas with 9 bathrooms for the cat, but has not taken the trouble to build even a house for a family from Zall-Herri, has no right to block and hinder the work for reconstruction of houses of families affected by the earthquake. “Albanians gave their message to this President on April 25, so there is no need and he will not be allowed to take revenge on them by preventing the construction of houses”, it is emphasized in the announcement of the Municipality of Tirana.
