TikTok deleted at least 7.3 million accounts which allegedly belonged to users under the legal age.
The short video platform said accounts accounted for only 1% of users worldwide.
Children under the age of 13 are not allowed to use the platform which is very popular among teenagers.
The platform said it had deleted 61 million rule-breaking videos where 82% of them had been deleted before they were viewed. Nearly 1.9 million ads were rejected and 11.1 million accounts were closed for violations of the terms and conditions of use.
TikTok also cited measures it had taken to protect teens on the platform such as restricting functionalities like streaming or private communication for those under 16 years old. / PCWorld Albanian
