British police have cracked down on an Albanian clandestine trafficking gang, handcuffing seven people.
According to British media The gang is thought to have trafficked hundreds of illegal Albanian immigrants to England.
The individuals paid up to mijë 25,000 to touch British soil. Among the seven arrested in the operation carried out at four different points in London is thought to be the leader of the group.
Also according to the media, to carry out the smuggling of the group, the group uses special machines, hiding them among the furniture.
During this operation, the police seized about 30 thousand pounds, but it is believed that the benefits from this activity reach up to hundreds of thousands of pounds.
Commander Richard Harrison, said the gang had endangered the safety of the smuggled migrants and by securing the British border.
“We believe that these arrests will have significantly disrupted an organized criminal network responsible for smuggling hundreds of people into Britain illegally.” he said.
