The Democratic Party this Sunday held elections for the new leader of the party, between four competing candidates.
The two winning candidates for MP in the district of Lezha, Agron Gjekmarkaj and Mark Marku could not express their will for the party leader.
Sources for abcnews.al suggest that Marku and Gjekmarkaj appeared at the polling station at 19:20, but the commissioners did not accept them to vote, emphasizing that at 19:00 near the polling station there was no voters and the process is considered closed.
Meanwhile, in Lezha, the counting has ended where the winner is Lulzim Basha with 900 votes, followed by Agron Shehaj.
