New details have come to light since the collapse of the 12-storey building in Miami, USA.
Foreign media write that engineers have warned of damage to the structure of the palace since three years ago. The palace was expected to undergo a complete reconstruction this year, but, unfortunately, it collapsed leaving at least 4 people dead and over 156 others missing.
Authorities to curb another tragedy are considering evacuating residents living in the adjoining palace, similar to the one that collapsed.
This is done for security purposes and as a measure, is expected to be implemented very soon.

The 2018 report, which talks about the problems that the palace had displayed
The report revealed that the palace had numerous cracks in the concrete supporting columns, beams and walls in the parking garage. This has been ascertained by experts, but although it was planned to be reconstructed, such a step was not taken.
Satellite data from the 1990s have also shown that the building was sinking between one and three millimeters each year, despite the fact that the surrounding buildings remained stable.
Operations have stalled from the fire
Search and rescue teams have been searching for people under the rubble for days. Although their research is being done with advanced technology, drones and being trained, it is extremely difficult to reach the lower parts of the palace.
This is because, in a tunnel that the teams have opened, to find the missing, a fire has broken out, and thus, the search has become almost impossible, write the foreign media.
