1) One is the addiction in which most people live. The wife depends on the husband, the husband depends on the wife: they exploit and dominate each other, they possess each other and reduce the other to a commodity. This is what happens in the world in 99% of cases, so love, which should open the doors of heaven, only opens the doors of hell.
2) The second is independence, this happens from time to time. But even this opportunity brings dissatisfaction, because the conflict is ongoing. No agreement is possible: the two are absolutely independent and neither is willing to compromise. They give freedom to the other, but it is more like indifference than freedom. Both live in their own spaces and their relationship seems only superficial, both are afraid to penetrate the other’s depth because both are more attached to their freedom than to love.
3) The third option is interdependence. It occurs between two persons who are neither dependent nor independent – but in deep sync with each other, as if breathing for each other, a soul in two bodies: whenever it happens, love happens. Only in this case is love. In the other two cases it is not true love: they are just pre-spiritual arrangements for karmic matters. But only deals. In the third case, love has something spiritual. It happens very rarely, but whenever it happens a part of the sky falls to the ground.
