Days ago, Minister Hekuran Murati had stated that the bonds will be 3 and 5 years, where the total amount will be 20 million euros, while if necessary, can be increased up to 50 percent.
“Three-year and five-year bonds, the sale period will be from July 21 to August 18. And the issue date is August 20th. The commercial banks with which we will have cooperation are Raiffeisen Bank, ProCredit Bank, NLB banka, BKT, Banka Ekonomike and Banka per Biznes. The amount offered for sale is 20 million euros in the right to increase up to 50 percent of the amount offered “, said Murati.
Recall that the same proposal was given by the former Minister of Finance in the Mustafa Government, Avdullah Hoti.
“These securities will provide funds for specific purposes, such as subsidies for agriculture and small enterprises. “Through this form, the diaspora can contribute to the economic development of Kosovo and also benefit from an interest rate, which is higher compared to the interest rate from depositing funds in banks in countries where there is a diaspora or in banks in Kosovo.” Hoti had said.
From the preliminary results of the diaspora census, the number of Kosovo citizens living in different countries of Europe and the world, who have responded to the census is about 350 thousand.
