Last Sunday, the TRIESHI Humanitarian Fund organized a solemn dinner on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of its activity, in a warm atmosphere in the presence of 300 compatriots and personalities invited from the Homeland and the Albanian community of New York.
With their greetings, this gathering was honored by the parish priest of the Albanian Catholic Church of Our Lady of Shkodra Dom Pjeter Popaj, Congressman Richard Tores, special guest – Tuzi Mayor Nikë Gjeloshaj, Westchester District Councilor David Tubiolo, lawyer Martin Vulaj, Dr. Pashko Camaj, former VOA journalist Gjek Gjonlekaj, student Nikoleta Lucaj, etc.
The gathering of this evening was made special by the many activists, who with their contribution and generosity made this gathering more magnificent, as always during the different occasions and needs required by our Homeland.
This evening was entertained under the excellent performance “Gratis” by Albanian pop singers Vida Kunora and Gezim Nika.
In addition to numerous donations, the Trieshi Humanitarian Fund was honored with an acknowledgment, presented by Councilor David Tubiola, a Proclamation gift which the Westchester County Legislature on its June 27 calendar has declared Trieshi Humanitarian Fund Day.
This evening’s dinner was hosted by activist Kole Cacaj with moderators Diana Dukaj, a journalist from Malësia and Lidija Curanaj, a journalist from New York.
Thanks to donations from this evening and various activists, the contribution figure has reached approximately $ 45,000.
Humanitarian Fund – TRIESHI, cordially thanks all the activist contributors who allocated from their budget a part of their wealth, not only this time, but during the five years of the history of this charitable fund.
