Tesla will allow other electric cars to access its global charger network by the end of the year, CEO Elon Musk said in a tweet on the social network Twitter.
To date there has been no information how and when the company will open its network of Superchargers of 25 thousand and for other cars.
Details are scarce as for example it is not known where they will initially open or with which car manufacturer Tesla has signed agreements. However Musk said all of this will be clarified by the end of 2021.
Tesla currently has chargers installed in North America, Asia, Europe and Middle Eastern countries such as the United Arab Emirates and Israel.
In 2014 Musk had said he was open to standardizing the technology with other manufacturers so that it could be exchanged across the industry.
However Tesla has its own connectors and car manufacturers who want to use the Tesla network for their electric cars must offer consumers some adapters.
In Europe it is different as Tesla uses direct CCS connectors and is the region where Tesla is expected to open the network first. / PCWorld Albanian
