During the interview on the show “Frontline” on “News24”, the Deputy Prime Minister did not give a clear answer, but said that he has never asked for a chair.
“What is certain is that in September I have an employment contract with this area and I have a seat in the Albanian Parliament, the issue of the government is another thing, it is the election of the prime minister Edi Rama. So, I say that it is certain that I have my place in Parliament from the vote of the citizens. It is also certain that I have never sought a chair, I have sought a job. If anyone needs my job, I’m here. All my life I have been looking for work, not chairs.
If you talk about chairs, I have no answer, I do not care about the chair at all. Parliament in September will be another story, new, not entirely new, because unfortunately there will be terribly old, worn-out, stigmatized faces that should not be there at all, as others have done a choice and are gone. I think that the parliament in September has all the possibilities, that beyond the infection that will be inside, to be reformatted, to be an institution that belongs to the citizens and not to the 140 deputies that are inside. It has every possibility for this parliament to be ethical, constructive“, Said Brace.
