Dritan Abazovic, Deputy Prime Minister of Montenegro and now President of the Civic Movement URA, in an interview given to analyst Mentor Nazarko, stopped at his origin saying that the family is from Ulcinj, but the roots lie in Kruja.
Meanwhile, Abazovic has announced that the statue of our National Hero, Skanderbeg, will be erected at the entrance of the city of Ulcinj within a year. According to him, this should have been done first. He apologized for the delay in erecting the bust of Skanderbeg, saying that everyone should be clear that the Albanians in Montenegro are connected to their history.
– Is it time to have a monument to Skanderbeg in Ulcinj?
“We have been late for a long time with the decision to make a bust for Skanderbeg. But with the new government that thing has to be completed and the bust will be placed at the entrance of Ulcinj. For all those who come to be clear that our connection with Skanderbeg and national history is important. At the end of the year I am sure the project will be completed. I apologize for the delay but it has been procrastination. I apologize for not happening earlier. “ said the deputy. The Prime Minister of Montenegro The Albanian politician in Montenegro has said that his family is from Ulcinj but it is said that his roots are from a village of Kruja that has exactly his last name, the village of Abazaj. He even stated that he has connections with the Albanian family from Kruja.
-What connects you with Kruja?
“We have a connection with Kruja because the village of Abazaj is located there. When we had a family joy, cousins from that village contacted us and participated and we are from there. We have remained in contact and we visit often. ” Abazovic added further.
