Kosovo Police has published a full report on the situation of fires in the country in the last 24 hours.
According to the police report, there are several small fires in some villages which are currently under control and almost extinguished.
The published report also confirms the first victim in Malisheva, for whom the police say that they have started the investigation and so far a person has been arrested for intentional arson in Fushë Kosovë.
Fsh. Slatinë, Fushë Kosovë: The police unit during the patrol noticed that a space (field) was being burned. Firefighters were notified, went to the scene and extinguished the fire. Regarding the case, a Kosovar man was interviewed as a suspect for causing the fire and the same was released in a regular procedure with the decision of the prosecutor.
Fsh. Zhiti, Viti: As a result of a fire that broke out for unknown reasons, about 4 hectares of a field were burned. Firefighters went to the scene and located the fire. No injuries were reported.
Fsh. Pozheran: Viti: As a result of a fire that broke out for unknown reasons, about 3 hectares of fields were burned. Firefighters went to the scene and located the fire. No injuries were reported.
Mokna Mountains, Istog: For reasons still unknown, a forest area was engulfed by fire. The fire brigade has located the fire and is monitoring the situation.
Fsh. Shtupeq i Madh, Peja: For reasons still unknown, a forest area was engulfed by fire. The fire brigade has located the fire and is monitoring the situation.
Fsh. Sfërk, Klina: For reasons still unknown, a house was engulfed in fire. Relevant police units and firefighters went to the scene, the fire was localized. Apart from the material damages, the value of which is unknown, there were no injuries. The state prosecutor was consulted regarding the case. The case continues to be investigated.
Baballoq Mountain, Deçan: A space of about 30 ares has been engulfed by fire. The fire brigade located and extinguished the fire. The state prosecutor was consulted regarding the case.
Fsh. Novoselë, Malishevë: The Kosovar male victim was brought without signs of life to QKMF without signs of life. His death was ascertained by the medical team. As a result of this death it is suspected to be smoky air after the victim had gone to the stable which was engulfed by fire. With the decision of the prosecutor, the dead body of the victim was sent to the IM for autopsy.
Fsh.Sopniq, Rahovec: An area of about 0.50 ha with grass was covered by the fire. The fire brigade located and extinguished the fire.
