Northern Macedonia has declared a state of crisis for 30 days as a result of the aggravated situation with fires.

The announcement of the Government states that the decision to declare a state of crisis throughout the territory of the state, was taken due to the increase in the occurrence of fires and their prevention.

The decision was taken at the request of the Crisis Coordination and Management Committee.

By declaring a state of crisis, the law enables the Government to use the resources of state administration bodies, municipal bodies and the city of Skopje, while with prior agreement or voluntarily the resources of citizens, public enterprises and joint stock companies can be used.
