Several series of powerful explosions woke up the people of Cacak, Serbia, around 1.30 in the morning. A grenade depot exploded in Pridvorica.
According to the latest information, explosions are still being heard at the ammunition factory in Cacak, Serbia, but not with a high intensity. However, firefighters and military police are still at the scene.
The last workers of the Sloboda factory, who were in the third shift, were successfully evacuated, so there were no casualties in this accident, reports b92.
According to Bratislav Zecevic, the head of the Emergency Situations Service in the town of Cacak, stated that “There were no casualties or injuries in the series of explosions that took place in the Sloboda company. There is no reason for citizens to worry. “30 employees of the company and the surrounding population were evacuated.”
Police still do not allow entry to the factory, and according to media reports, some of the citizens spent the night in the basement.
The Sloboda plant mainly produces artillery shells, as well as other ammunition.
