Indian scientists have recently been amazed by the great discovery made in Antarctica, where during six months of research they have managed to discover a plant.
Surprised, they highlighted the basic needs of a plant for growth, citing sunlight, potassium, and water, which are hard to find on that continent.
One of the researchers who was part of the research told the media that they collected samples of algae of different species and compared them over a period of 5 years with other plants, which led them to conclude that the type of plant discovered grows in places where penguins breed.
Among other things, they added that the reason for the survival of the plants has to do with the excrement of penguins which contains nitrogen. The newly discovered plant was named Bryum Bharatiensis.
