Samsung has recently made significant strides in terms of software updates. The South Korean company today said that Android phones will receive 5 years of security updates and this includes current but also older models.
But these updates will only be available for the Enterprise S20, S21, Note 20, Xcover 5 and Tab Active 3 versions. All other enterprise models will receive four years of updates like any other smartphone.
Enterprise Edition smartphones are designed for businesses. They can be programmed and managed by companies with their applications and software. Samsung also equips them with the Knox Suite system to be as secure as possible.
It is likely that Samsung will offer five years of security updates for flagships that are not Enterprise as in the past it offered 4 years of updates for consumer variants as well. / PCWorld Albanian
