Albania is one of the 2 least infected countries with COVID-19 in Europe. It was Prime Minister Edi Rama who published the figures, while Albania ranks next to Iceland.
“In the global measurement of the last two weeks for the reduction of cases of infections, Albania and Iceland, figure as two countries with fewer cases of infections on our continent”, writes Rama.
The decrease in the number of daily cases, for experts has come as a result of the vaccination process that has progressed at a fast pace where 800 thousand vaccinations have been performed so far, with the objective to reach up to 1 million vaccinations by the end of June.
On the other hand, during the last 24 hours 5 new cases and 1 victim were recorded, the first loss of life for the month of June. Mass vaccination in our country continues since March, while last night 11,700 Pfizer vaccines arrived at the airport “Mother Teresa”, or 911 thousand vaccines in total.
