On the eve of the Euro 2020 final, Queen Elizabeth II sent her personal message of good fortune to England manager Gareth Southgate and the entire team.
“Fifty-five years ago I was lucky enough to give the Bobby Moore the World Cup and I saw what it meant for the players, the management and the staff to reach and win the final of an important international football tournament.
I want to send my congratulations and those of my family to everyone for reaching the finals of the European Championship and I wish you tomorrow, with the hope that history will record not only your success, but also the spirit, commitment and pride with which you characterizes.”
